Artist, writer with wicked sense of humor and a great laugh...

A true Bohemian (in both lineage and spirit), I am an artist and writer, a mom and a grandma, and retired from the US Navy. My favorite place in Minneapolis is Minnehaha Falls, and Dinkytown. I love cartoons - even have one published monthly that I write and illustrate. I enjoy going to plays, concerts, movies, museums and galleries. I am comfortable with picnics and paper plates as well as fine dining and Waterford crystal. I love to laugh, I live to laugh.
All of my children are grown and live away from home, and one of my beautiful grandchildren lives with me and brings me sweetness and smiles everyday.

Looking For

Must haveIntelligence, Good Looks, Humor, Great skills, Empathy, Sensitivity, Boldness, Oddities, Spontaneity, Flirtatiousness, Wit, Thoughtfulness
Look for in a partnerThe operative word is j.o.y. - A kind, joyful, witty, intelligent, self confident and self-sufficient man who wants to share joy, create joy, and takes joy in being emotionally supportive, caring, sharing, involved and participates fully in life. Someone who also loves life in Minneapolis (or St. Paul). I am an urban girl.
I have a lot of love and laughter to share, and wish to share that with someone who is equally willing and able to do the same.
On the first dateI would go for something very low key - maybe a walk at Father Hennepin Park, and a light meal and glass of wine on the deck at Pracna on Main, overlooking the river... somewhere that we can hear each other speak.
Alternatively, a great (not gross bullsh*t) comedian at a comedy club might be a nice icebreaker....
