Dating is like a necessary evil that you have to go through to meet someone. LOL

Anyhoo, I'm a very creative, funny , and educated woman. I'm active but not "fit" or athletic. I strive to be healthy and stay active, and that is good enough for me right now. I occasionally eat fish, eggs, dairy - but no other meat. I am primarily vegetarian.

I've done a lot of self-reflection in my life, and I continue to learn and grow. It's important to me to be a lifelong learner, and I'd like a partner who feels the same way about his own life. That would make the journey so much richer.

One thing I am working on but haven't gotten great at yet is opening up to new people. I tend to be shy/reserved when I meet someone new. I definitely open up as I get to know them. So anyone wanting to get to know me would probably need to be patient and willing to ask questions - I will answer any question, but in my shyness I often forget to offer details about myself. Once I am comfortable with someone, though, I have no problem communicating at all.

I don't care if you have baggage, as long as you own it and you are able to manage it. At my age, everyone has history and I think it's what you have learned from it that matters.

I have a career that I love, hobbies I enjoy, and pets that I adore. I have a horse that I visit at her boarding stable every day. She's too young to ride yet, and training her is a big project I've undertaken - a labor of love, though. She also keeps me active and gets me outdoors every day which is a blessing.

I love to make things, and have found that if I have a partner who has his own handcrafting hobbies it's a nice fit. We can often find some kind of activity or group that we can both enjoy that involves making things. One example from my past is cosplay - I am great at costumes. I'm also great at making useful things like hats and gloves.

I'm not a gamer, though my social circle often overlaps with the gaming community. That can be weird for me, because I'm not very interested in gaming, so you know.

I tend to like things that are strange and even a bit creepy. I like mythology and folklore. I would call myself unconventional, but in a fun way.
