| Look for in a partner | Full Disclaimer: I'm on this site as well as another family-friendly site because I am serious and determined to find a rest-of-life, compatible mate, but have yet to find just a simplistic woman that "clicks/gets” me. The main thing I look for in a potential partner is intelligence and, hopefully, a good sense of humor/quick wit. While there is definitely something to be said for looks (animal attraction and all...) at the end of the day, Time will have its way, looks will fade, etc., but I'll always value a shining mind and comfortable conversationalist long after wrinkles, skin sag and memory loss have set in. Bonus points: If you have some goof/nerd in you (like myself) and can laugh at yourself and the absurdity of Earth 2018 at large (ditto), you very well could be a keeper! ;:^) |
| On the first date | I think a good first date would entail meeting in an open neutral area to grab coffee to go, and then take a short walk in the fresh air to people-watch and window-shop for conversation fodder and, if all goes well, perhaps extend the meet but, if not, no harm nor foul, and a short graceful exit would be fine. |
